you have questions...we have answers

Bridge Kids Academy students can receive up to 5 Vacation Days per calendar year—approved days your child can stay home without paying tuition for that day.
Vacation Days run January through December and reset each January.

Use them your way!

Vacation Days don't have to be used together! Request a single day, a couple of days, or several days for a family vacation.
You can even request Vacation Days before or after scheduled BKA closure days to extend your time together.

How many Vacation Days does my child receive?
BKA students may receive up to 5 Vacation Days per calendar year (January 1st–December 31st). Vacation Days for newly enrolled students are prorated based on their start date.
How are Vacation Days prorated for new students?
Students beginning January–March receive 5 days
April–June receive 4 days
July–September receive 3 days
October–November receive 2 days
December starts receive 0 days.

Proration applies during the student's first calendar year. Beginning the following January, eligible actively enrolled students receive the full 5 Vacation Days.

Do unused Vacation Days roll over?
No. Vacation Days expire on December 31 and do not roll over into the following year. Vacation Day balances reset each January.

Do I have to use all 5 Vacation Days together?
No. Vacation Days may be used individually or together. You could use one day for a long weekend, two days for a family vacation, and save the remaining days for later.

Can I use Vacation Days next to a scheduled BKA closure?
Yes. Vacation Days may be requested before or after a scheduled BKA closure, allowing families to extend their time away. All requests remain subject to availability and approval.
Will I be charged tuition when BKA is closed for a holiday?
Yes. Regular tuition is still charged for scheduled BKA holidays and center closures.
Maintaining regular tuition during these closures allows us to continue providing consistent pay for our teachers and staff, including during recognized holidays. We believe caring well for the children entrusted to us also means caring well for the teachers who serve them each day.
Can I use a Vacation Day to cover tuition for a BKA holiday or scheduled closure?
Yes. Families may request to use one of their child's available Vacation Days toward an eligible scheduled BKA holiday or closure. If approved, the applicable daily tuition amount for that day will not be charged.
Holiday Vacation Day requests follow the same guidelines as other requests and are first come, first served and subject to approval. We recommend submitting these requests early, as holiday dates may be especially popular.
If BKA is closed, will a Vacation Day automatically be used?
No.
Vacation Days are never automatically applied.
If you would like to use an available Vacation Day toward an eligible scheduled BKA closure, you must submit a Vacation Day Request Form and receive approval.
Otherwise, regular tuition will be charged.
Will I pay tuition for an approved Vacation Day?
No. Families will not be charged the applicable daily tuition amount for an approved Vacation Day.

How can I find out how many Vacation Days my child has left?
Families may contact the BKA team at any time to check their child's remaining Vacation Day balance.

Does each family receive 5 days or each child?
Vacation Days are provided per enrolled student, not per family. Each eligible child has their own Vacation Day balance.
